Disney Cruise Line emailed booked Guests overnight to say the Disney Adventure maiden voyage has moved to March 10, 2026. The message cites “unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process.”
What Disney said
“…we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the Disney Adventure’s maiden voyage to March 10, 2026…”
Reason: “unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process.”
Guests on the original maiden voyage will be automatically shifted to the new date at 50% off the voyage fare.
A confirmation with the reduced fare will be sent by October 8, 2025.
When the news broke
Guests began receiving emails late on September 10, 2025 (U.S. time), and trade/media reports followed on September 11–12, 2025.
Options Disney is giving booked guests
- Guests on the original December 15, 2025, maiden voyage: Automatically moved to the new March 10, 2026, inaugural sailing at 50% off the voyage fare. If you can’t sail the new date, you can opt for a full refund and receive a 50% discount toward a future Disney cruise (book by March 31, 2026; sail by March 31, 2027).
- Guests on other cancelled Adventure sailings (Dec 2025–early Mar 2026): Full refund plus a 50% discount on a future cruise within the same booking/sailing window above.
If you were on the original maiden voyage
- You’re moved automatically to March 10, 2026 at 50% off your voyage fare.
- No action needed if you can sail the new date.
- Expect an updated confirmation showing the reduced fare by Oct 8, 2025.
If you can’t sail March 10, 2026
- You may request a full refund to your original form of payment.
- You may still use a 50% discount on a future Disney cruise.
- Refund request deadline:September 21, 2025 (let Disney or your travel advisor know by this date).
- Future‑cruise discount window: must book by March 31, 2026 and sail by March 31, 2027.

- Additional 2027 Disney Adventure sailings will be available to book beginning in March 2026.
